This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how personal data of users of the website getatman.app (the "Site") is processed in connection with subscribing to the waitlist for the ATMAN app — a wellbeing app and "life navigator".

We treat your data with respect and process only the minimum necessary. At this stage, the Site has a single purpose: collecting waitlist sign-ups before the app launches.

2. Important Disclaimer: Wellbeing, Not Medicine

ATMAN is a wellbeing and personal development app. ATMAN is not a medical device and is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease. It does not provide psychotherapeutic or other medical services and does not replace consultation with a doctor, therapist, or other qualified professional.

The Site and waitlist are not designed to collect health data. Please do not include information about your health or other special categories of personal data in the sign-up form.

3. Data We Collect

When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect only the following data:

Data you provide directly:

• your first name;
• your email address.

Technical data and consent metadata, collected automatically when you submit the form:

• interface language (language);
• URL of the page from which the form was submitted (landing_url);
• UTM parameters (traffic source, campaign, etc.);
• IP address and date/time of form submission (as evidence of the fact and moment consent was given).

We do not collect payment data, do not create user accounts, and do not request special categories of data (health, religious beliefs, political views, etc.).

4. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), which you give by checking the consent box and submitting the sign-up form.

Collection of the IP address and submission time is also based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — the need to verify that consent was obtained and to ensure the security of the Site.

You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Purposes of Processing

We process your data solely to:

• add you to the ATMAN app waitlist;
• notify you of the app's launch and progress;
• contact you where necessary regarding the waitlist;
• confirm the fact and timing of your consent.

We do not use your data for advertising profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects.

6. Who We Share Data With (Processors)

We do not sell your data. To operate the Site and waitlist, we engage trusted service providers (processors) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements (DPAs):

International Data Transfers

MailerLite is based in the European Union (EU). Vercel may process technical data (including IP addresses) on servers outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the USA. In such cases, transfers are carried out on the basis of appropriate safeguards under GDPR — primarily Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or other mechanisms provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR.

We may also disclose data where required by law, upon a justified request from a competent public authority, or to protect our legitimate rights.

7. Retention Periods

We retain your data until the ATMAN app launches and for a reasonable period thereafter to invite you to use the app, or until you withdraw consent / unsubscribe — whichever comes first.

If the app is not launched or you withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, except for the minimum records we are required to retain by law (for example, evidence of consent).

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR (and, where applicable, the laws of your country) you have the right:

• of access — to receive confirmation and a copy of your data;
• to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — to request deletion of your data;
• to restriction of processing — to request that processing be suspended in certain circumstances;
• to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and/or transfer it to another controller;
• to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• to withdraw consent at any time — via the unsubscribe link in emails or by writing to office@atmanapp.eu;
• to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in the country of your habitual residence, place of work, or alleged infringement.

To exercise any of these rights, write to office@atmanapp.eu. We will respond within the time limits set by law (generally within one month).

9. Children

The Site and waitlist are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16 years of age (or any lower age of consent threshold set by the laws of your country). If you believe we have received data from a child without proper consent, please contact office@atmanapp.eu and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and Local Storage

The Site uses browser local storage (localStorage) with the key atman_privacy_ack to remember that you have acknowledged the cookie notice. By default, the Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Full details are set out in the separate Cookie Policy.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, and alteration. Data transmitted between your browser and the Site is protected by encryption (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the Site, with the date shown in the "Last updated" line. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
